IIT-Bombay continued to get students from top rankers in JEE (Advanced) this year as well. Of the top 500 rankers, 147 students opted for IIT-Bombay. In 2018, 47 of the 50 toppers had joined IIT-Bombay.

The second-most preferred engineering college in the country among JEE (Advanced) students this year is IIT-Delhi. Of the top 500 rankers, 142 students opted for IIT-Delhi.

3.IIT-Madrass
At No. 3 is IIT-Madras, the engineering college that has been opted for by 53 top rankers of JEE (Advanced).

4.IIT-Kanpurr
The fourth position goes to IIT-Kanpur. Close behind IIT-Madras, ITT-Kanpur has been picked as the institute of choice by 52 top rankers of JEE (Advanced).

The oldest IIT in the country, IIT-Kharagpur ranks at no. five of the top 500 rankers. 47 students opted for IIT-Kharagpur.

6.IIT-Roorkeee
The sixth most-sought-after engineering college in the country is IIT-Roorkee. The technical institute was converted to IIT on September 21, 2001 by an ordinance issued by the Government of India. The ordinance declared it as the nation's seventh Indian Institute of Technology. Of the top 500 rankers, 35 have opted for IIT-Roorkee.

IIT-Guwahati ranks at no. 7, with 17 of the top 500 rankers opting for the institute.
